LUCKNOW: A father whose son was found murdered on the school premises in Azamgarh district around two years back, has come out in support of the victim of the Brightland College stabbing incident. The father—Hiralal Yadav staged a demonstration at Gandhi Pratima in the state capital on Tuesday and demanded high level probe in his son’s case that is yet to be solved.

“I couldn’t resist myself when I heard about the Brightland College incident that was more or less the same as my son’s case. The only difference is that in Brightland College incident the victim was fortunate and my son was not,” said Hiralal Yadav while demanding action in his case.

Yadav said the Brightland College case was no less than a reminder of his 6-year-old son Krishna’s case who was stabbed to death on the school premises in 2016. “On January 27, 2016 my son as usual went to the school. But he never came back. I was told that my son Krishna has met with an accident. But before I could reach the school, I was told that he was rushed to post mortem house for autopsy. And later I was told by the police that my son was stabbed with grocer’s knife to death and was dumped at the backyard of the school, barely 50 metres behind the main premises of his school,” he said.

He said the evidence and circumstances suggested that a 14-year-old boy, the student of Class 4 of the same school took my son with him and stabbed him to death. Yadav blamed the school authorities for the laxity and said, a high level enquiry should be conducted in both the cases. “I can understand the pain of another father whose son was stabbed on the school (Brightland) premises. I want enquiry in both the cases,” he added.

He said action should be initiated against the school authorities also.

Besides, the state government should constitute a commission to probe into the reason behind the growing violence among children.
