LUCKNOW:While the state government roped in the Special Task Force (STF) of UP Police to check use of unfair means, the written answer sheets of examinees meant to be deposited at the Jubilee Inter College near City Station area were ferried on cycle, bicycle, scooter and in e-rickshaw – without any security – after the day’s exams.

Answer sheets from all centres in Lucknow are deposited at this college after the exam every day.

“It is quite risky as teachers

THOSE WHO BROUGHT COPIES SAID THEY GET RS 12 FOR TRANSPORTATION OF ANSWER SHEETS PER TRIP

have to bring answer sheets from remote places without any security guard. What if somebody snatches a bundle and runs away. The administration needs to look into the matter,” said RP Mishra, state secretary and spokesperson of UP Madhyamik Shikshak Sangh.

As compared to the first shift, situation becomes worse in the second shift. The second shift exam ends at 5 pm and it takes more than an hour to make a bundle of written answer sheets and seal them at the exam centre. By the time the teacher leaves the exam centre on cycle or twowheeler for Jubilee Inter college, it gets dark.

This exposes the education department’s tall claims about security arrangements for the examination. Those who brought copies said they get Rs 12 for transportation of answer sheets per trip. Hence, they are forced to bring it on cycle or twowheeler.
