Sultanpur Road slope, underpass work to be over in five days: DM
LUCKNOW : The pending work on the Sultanpur Road slope, underpass of Gomti Bridge and beautification of the roads and service lanes near Indira Gandhi Pratishthan would be completed within five days, said district magistrate Kaushal Raj Sharma here on Friday.
In a review meeting on the ongoing development work ahead of the investors’ meet, Sharma directed the departments concerned to complete the work within the stipulated time.
Her also directed the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI), Lucknow Electricity Supply Administration (LESA) and public works department (PWD) to complete all other pending work in Gomti Nagar and nearby areas by February 14. “We want all work to be complete by February 14,” he said.
Sharma also directed the electricity department to replace defunct street lights and told the metro officials that no work would be done on February 20, 21 and 22. He said the illumination of Shaheed Path had been completed and landscaping on either side was expected to be finished by February 14.
He also directed the officials to plant saplings along the stretch from Airport to Hazratganj and to paint the dividers.
The investors’ meet is scheduled on February 21 and 22.
