LUCKNOW: The Uttar Pradesh Vidhan Parishad on Tuesday directed the state government to recommend a CBI probe into three different cases, two controversial police encounters and one murder—all in Noida and Greater Noida.

One related to Noida gym trainer Jitendra Yadav who was allegedly shot at by a police inspector Vijay Darshan in a fake ‘encounter’. Another case related to Sumit Gurjar, who was shot dead in an encounter with the police in Greater Noida in October. The gangster carried a reward of Rs 50,000 on his head.

The house also asked the government to go for CBI probe into the murder of local BJP leader Shiv Kumar Yadav in Noida in

November. Vidhan Parishad chairman Ramesh Yadav directed the government to recommend CBI probe into all three cases after the opposition made a demand for the same.

Moving an adjournment motion, leader of opposition and SP member Ahmad Hasan raised the issue of alleged attempt to kill Jitendra Yadav by a police inspector in Noida’s sector 122 on February 3. Congress’ Dinesh

Pratap Singh also raised the same issue while SP’s Narendra Singh Bhatai suggested a CBI probe into the murder of Shiv Kumar Yadav to nab real killers.

Earlier, during the question hour, the SP members staged a walkout from the house shouting slogans after they were not satisfied with the government reply to the question as to what measures were being taken to double the income of farmers.
