BRAWL OVER DJ LEADS TO FIRING, THREE INJURED

LUCKNOW: A local trader leader’s brother was critically injured and two others suffered minor injuries when a group of youths opened fire on another group in Para’s Hanshkheda village here on Friday afternoon, said police. Dispute over dancing on DJ platform was said to be the cause for the clash. Hundreds of the trader leader’s supporters gathered on the spot in protest against the attack and vandalised some vehicles. They dispersed when heavy police force was called. Inspector of Para police station Ajai Prakash Tripathi said the incident took place near Hanshkheda police outpost where some youths were dancing after playing colours. He said some of the youngsters were drunk and had a

brawl with one Anil Yadav alias Bhure and his friends.

He said the youngsters apparently had some illegal firearms and opened fire on Bhure and his friends. Bhure, younger brother of local trader leader Lallan Yadav, suffered injury on his face and chest and is undergoing treatment in King George’s Medical University’s trauma centre. His two friends suffered pellet injuries. The inspector said the assailants fled after committing the crime. He said the victims had lodged an FIR against three people, including a local goon Puttan Yadav, who had at least nine criminal cases against him, and his two aides Prakash and Puneet Yadav. Police teams were raiding their hideouts.
