Muslim women pay obeisance to Ram Lalla
LUCKNOW : A group of Muslim women visited the makeshift temple of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya and paid obeisance to the deity there on Monday. They also extended support to the cause of a grand Ram temple.
These Muslim women were among the participants in a seminar on Triple Talaq and Ram Mandir organised by the Muslim Rashtriya Manch, the RSS’s Muslim wing, in Ayodhya on Monday.
They chided Muslim leaders and clerics opposing the ban on triple talaq.
Indresh Kumar, patron of the Muslim Rashtriya Manch, was the chief guest at the event. Prof Shabana Azmi, department of Arabic, LU, led the Muslim women’s delegation at the event.
Addressing the gathering, Azmi said: “God sent 1.24 lakh messengers. Ramji was among them. We are all descendants of Lord Ram. So why should we have any objection on construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya?”
She also issued an appeal to Muslims to come forward in favour of construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya to ensure peace and harmony in the country. After the event, Muslim women visited the makeshift Ram Mandir and paid obeisance to Lord Ram.
‘AIMPLB IN AN ILLEGAL ORGANISATION’
Senior RSS leader Indresh Kumar said the All India Muslim Personal Law Board was an illegal organisation. “In 1975, Muslims formed this organisation after feeling neglected by the Congress,” he said.
Clerics formed this organisation (AIMPLB) to ‘enslave’ Muslims, Indresh alleged. Attacking Muslim leaders opposing the ban on triple talaq, Indresh said: “Even the Supreme Court had rejected arguments in favour of triple talaq.”
