SHE HAS MORE CASH IN HAND THAN HUBBY AMITABH

Samajwadi Party (SP) Rajya Sabha nominee and actor Jaya Bachchan earned ₹13.02 lakh in 2016-17 but her immovable properties are worth ₹67 crore. Compared to her, her actor husband Amitabh Bachchan earned ₹78.6 crore for the same period.

But she has more cash in hand (₹2.3 lakh) than Amitabh (₹1.3). Barring that, Amitabh is richer in all other assets--movable or immovable. She has no criminal cases against her.

A comparison of the fresh affidavit with the 2012 RS poll’s affidavit shows that her income has decreased by ₹1.5 lakh but that of her husband increased by ₹6 crore.

The worth of her movable properties showed in the Friday’s affidavit is ₹67 crore but her immovable assets are worth ₹130 crore. Amitabh’s movable and immovable are worth ₹471 crore and ₹332 crore respectively.

Amitabh’s phone is worth ₹8 lakh and her’s is worth ₹1.5 lakh. If Jaya has only one car (a Toyota), Amitabh ‘wheels’ are priced at ₹13.35 crore. Amitabh has 11 vehicles, including a Tata Nano, a tractor, and a Rolls Royce.

Jaya’s jewellery is worth ₹26 crore and Amitabh’s ₹36 crore. The couple has agricultural lands is Lucknow and Bhopal and non-agricultural land in several cities, including Noida.

Amitabh’s pen is ‘mightier’ than his ‘revolver’. The cost of ‘pen’ is shown as ₹9.3 lakh and the revolver is of ₹2,500. While Amitabh has watches worth ₹3.4 crore, Jaya’s watch are worth ₹51 lakh.

Jaya has four bank accounts, including one in HSBC-Dubai, while Amitabh has 15 bank accounts, including four overseas ones.

Jaya Bachchan has financial liabilities worth ₹87 crore while Amitabh’s debt is close to ₹18 crore.

Sixty-nine year old Jaya’s highest educational qualification is a graduate gold medalist from Film and Television Institute of India, Pune.
