ALIGARH: A 13-year-old Class 4 student, belonging to Patna and staying at a school hostel here, was allegedly molested by a senior student. The victim’s father lodged an FIR at the Jawan police station on Friday. In his complaint he said his son was molested on the pretext of ragging.

The complainant also alleged that when his son opposed the accused, a 15-year-old Class 7 student, he was injured with a razor blade. “My son is so terrified that he refuses to go to school or the hostel. Before I arrived here, he had taken shelter at the school director’s house,” the father told the police.

In the FIR, he said, “My son lives in the hostel of Ayesha Tarin Modern Public School. Whenever I came to see him, he looked fearful and lost. But when I asked him the reason, he just wept and didn’t say anything.”

“On March 1, a teacher told me that the boy was under tremendous pressure and had three razor injuries on his hand. When I questioned my son, he said that on the encouragement of the hostel warden, a senior student was ragging and assaulting him,” said the father in his complaint.

“He said he was pressurised for unnatural sex and when he opposed this, a class 7 student slashed his hand with a razor. My son also complained to the warden, but was rebuked instead. No action was taken on his complaint. The warden also forcibly took a note from him that he had slashed his hand himself. Now, I am submitting my complaint to the police. I have also complained to the principal and the director of the school,” said the father.

Meanwhile, coordinator of Ayesha Tarin Modern Public School, Subuhi Khan, denied the allegations. PRADEEP SAXENA
