RLD will also be part of alliance: Jayant
LUCKNOW: A day after the SP-BSP alliance wrested two Lok Sabha seats from the ruling BJP in the UP by-polls, Rashtriye Lok Dal (RLD) leader Jayant Chaudhary hinted on Thursday his party may also be a part of the larger opposition coalition for the 2019 parliamentary polls.
“These are still early days. The real opposition unity would be known only when the time comes. We are keeping an eye on the developments and emerging trends on pre-poll alliance. But I can say this that we would be part of the alliance with the Opposition parties,” he said.

bypolls in which BJP lost its bastion Gorakhpur as also Phulpur Lok Sabha seats to the Samajwadi Party.
“The BJP defeat shows that people have lost faith in the BJPled governments both at Centre and the state, and the saffron party needs to improve its functioning,” he said.
Son of RLD chief Ajit Singh, Jayant said people were now beginning to realise that the promises made to them by the BJP were false.
He, however, made it clear that his party would continue to fight and struggle for farmers’ rights.
