Bowlers fashion REPL’s convincing win

LUCKNOW Bowlers Pushpendra Yadav (3/22), Sarfaraz (2/15) and Pawan Kumar (2/29) bowled well as REPL stormed into the semifinals of the Ranjana Singh memorial under-16 cricket tournament, defeating Yorker Cricket Club by four wickets here on Thursday.

RISHABH SHINES

Rishabh Mishra struck a record 217 in 114 balls with the help of 24 fours and six sixes as North Central Railway scored a thumping 263-run win against RDSO in a league match of the 63rd All-India Inter-Railway cricket tournament, at the Chowk stadium here on Thursday. In other match of the day, ECR notched up a convincing nine-wicket win against MCF at the LDA stadium.

DOUBLES BADMINTON

Many from the hosts UP Badminton Academy would also be seen in action in the main draw of the All-India senior doubles ranking badminton tournament, beginning Friday here. The duo of Kunwar Ishan Singh and Chandra Bushan Tripathi would be playing against Shyam Prasad of Kerala and Rajasthan’s Denis Srivastava in their opening match. Ayan Khan would be pairing with Mahendra Kumar, where as Sanidhya Banduni and Faiz Hadees would be playing qualifiers.
