Cabinet nod to Amausi runway expansion
Also buy land to build civil enclave at IAF’s Bareilly airport
LUCKNOW: Uttar Pradesh cabinet on Friday gave go ahead to a proposal for expansion of runway and development of Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport in Lucknow.
Chief minister Yogi Adityanath has been authorized for an expenditure of Rs 479.65 crore for the expansion of the airport and buy land for the purpose.
The cabinet also approved another proposal to buy 43.144 acre land for construction of civil enclave at Indian Air Force’s airport at Bareilly. Chief minister has been authorized to make necessary changes to the agreement signed with Airports Authority of India earlier.
It also approved a proposal to authorize chief minister for amendment in MoU signed with the AAI for setting up of civil enclave at Allahabad Airport and connecting it with four lane road etc.
A scheme titled Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyay Adarsh Nagar Panchayat Yojana for development of Nagar Panchayats was also approved. An official spokesman said there were 438 nagar panchayats in the state and government proposed to make 375 of them model nagar panchayats in next five years.
The cabinet approved revised cost of Rs 277.41 crore for construction with higher specifications of pediatric hospital at BRD medical college Gorakhpur.
It also approved a proposal to amend Uttar Pradesh Cinematograph Rules 1951 to simplify rules providing for online applications for licence and construction of cinema halls and their disposal in a time bound manner.
The Uttar Pradesh Education (general education category) rules for appointment of principals in government (girls and boys) inter colleges was also approved. The rules provide for three year experience at a university or college for appointment as principal, who should be in the age group of 30 to 40 years.
The cabinet approved a proposal for construction of eight rail over bridges on the route of eastern dedicated freight corridor. The state government will bear 50 percent cost of the construction.
