Cabinet approves transfer policy for four years
LUCKNOW: The state cabinet on Tuesday approved transfer policy for its officers and employees for four years — 2018-2019 to 20212022. Under the new policy, transfers will be completed every year by May 31. In all, 20% officers and employees will be covered under the transfer policy. The group A and group B officers, who have completed three years in a district and seven years in a division, will be transferred under the police.

The group A and group B officers, who have completed three years in a district and seven years in a division, will be transferred under the police. The posting of officers in offices of heads of department (HoDs) and the divisions will not be counted in the seven year period of posting in a division.
If an equivalent post is present, the officers posted in the offices of HoDs will be posted out after three years. The cutoff date for the purpose of counting the period of posting will be March 31. The group B officers will be transferred by HoDs. In all, 20% officers and employees will be covered under the transfer policy. The group A and B officers will be given a posting of choice in a district close to their home district while group C employees will be posted in their home districts.
PPP MODEL
The state cabinet approved a proposal for running 170 National Mobile Medical Unit project on Public Private Partnership (PPP) model for seven years. The director general, medical and health, will run the scheme. The funds for the project will be provided by the National Health Mission.
DRINKING WATER
The cabinet approved a proposal to provide pure drinking water in slums in 17 urban civic bodies of 10 districts to protect children from JE and AES.
A sum of Rs 23.76 crore available in the PLA account of Lucknow Nagar Nigam will be provided to provide pure drinking water in Azamgarh, Baharaich, Balrampur, Basti, Deoria, Gorakhpur, Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Sant Kabir Nagar and Siddharth Nagar.
ANIMAL SHELTERS
The cabinet approved a proposal for shelter homes for animals in Bundelkhand to deal with the problem of stray animals. A sum of Rs 10 crore had been provided in the state budget.
WATER SPORTS COMPLEX
The cabinet approved a proposal for higher specifications in implementation of water sports complex and lake recreation project at Ramgarhtal in Gorakhpur. The cabinet also approved specifications for construction of an auditorium at Buddha Theme Park, Sarnath, Varanasi.
