Baaghi 2 fails spectacularly

In Baaghi 2, people break into dance in the middle of a sad scene about domestic abuse. Try to choke one another to death even though they have guns at hand. And the hero, even pockmarked with bullets, can still break four legs in one swift move.
There is no plot, no story arc. Ranveer Pratap Singh aka Ronnie (Tiger Shroff) and Neha (Disha Patani) were college sweethearts who went their separate ways many years ago. In a bizarre real-world reference, he is now an army major who likes to tie stone-pelters to the bonnet of his jeep. She now lives in Goa, where her child has been missing for months. Desperate, she decides to call on her ex-boyfriend for help.

cars. Director Ahmed Khan (who has already announced Baaghi 3) is in no mood to slow down, so he introduces the film’s surprise package — an encounter specialist named LSD (Randeep Hooda). To the stupidly named cop’s credit, his banter with DIG Shergill (Manoj Bajpayee) brings some respite to this brainless display of rippling muscles and repetitive stunts. But don’t get your hopes up. Aside from a thrilling chase sequence about 20 seconds long, and a couple of handto-hand combat scenes, Baaghi 2 fails spectacularly. Incidentally, the film’s original rating was not this low, but then Jacqueline Fernandez’s version of ‘Ek, do, teen’ and the runtime of 150 minutes so sapped my will to live that I could no longer justify a second star.
