Now, Ambedkar statue damaged in Hathras

AGRA : In the third incident of its kind in the last couple of days, another statue of Dr BR Ambedkar was found damaged in Ladpur village of Hathras district on Sunday morning, police said. “The incident seems to be a mischief by some drunkard last (Saturday) night. One hand of the statue was damaged and it was found on Sunday morning. The statue was replaced in daytime in consultation with villagers and situation is peaceful in the village ,” said SP, Hathras, Sushil Ghule.

The statue was replaced in daytime in consultation with villagers and situation is peaceful in the village situated about 20 kilometres from Hathras city,” said SP, Hathras, Sushil Ghule.

“A case has been registered at Hathras junction police station against unidentified people and a search is on to identify the culprit involved in the incident,” the SP added.

On Saturday, a statue of Dr Ambedkar was found damaged at a park in Allahabad’s Trivenipuram area. One more such incident came to fore in Siddharthnagar on Friday.
