LUCKNOW: You too can stand in support for the autistic. Just wear blue on World Autism Day(Monday) to show solidarity.

The message is being widely spread through social media. Bobby Ramani, founder-director Isupportfoundation said , “Blue is the colour of honesty and peace and so it has been associated with autism. We are, therefore, urging people to wear blue on the day to show their support and stand with the families of those with autism.”

“We are inviting people to share their picture wearing something blue. We have also urged them to write a short message to go with it, either on a placard itself or alongside the picture and share them across on common social media platforms. People can also use hashtags such as #AutismAwarenessDay #Inclusiveness #ILoveAutism to go with it,” said Bobby who has initiated the campaign in Lucknow.

In 2007, the United Nations came up with the idea of celebrating April 2 as world Autism Day
