14 land disputes resolved during first Sampoorna Samadhaan Diwas
LUCKNOW: To resolve land dispute cases in the rural pockets of the city at the earliest, the district administration launched a drive--Sampoorna Samadhaan Diwas.
The move is said to be an outcome of the recent state government’s orders directing the district magistrate to resolve land dispute cases in the city on priority basis.
Officials said that the move would be a big relief for the rural folks who often find it hard to pursue the land dispute cases. Besides, it would also minimise the number of such cases and litigations.
“Strict directives have been issued to all the officials and the concerned department to resolve the land dispute cases on
priority basis,” said Kaushal Raj Sharma, district magistrate, Lucknow.
As per a short survey of all five tehsils, it was found that the district has around 709 major land dispute cases. It was found that there are around 46 cases in Sadar tehsil, 281 cases in Bakshi Ka Talab (BKT), 72 cases in Sarojninagar, 143 in Malihabad and 167 in Mohanlalganj.
Of the total cases, the administration on Tuesday resolved around 14 cases on the spot.
“During the day, we cleared 14 cases in one go,” the DM said.
He also directed the officials to resolve the rest of the cases within one week. “Officials should resolve the issues in a time bound manner. In case of any hassles, they should submit their report mentioning the hassle or obstruction,” he added.
Of the total cases resolved, two were from Sadar tehsil, five from BKT, one from Malihabad and six cases were from Mohanlalganj.
