‘Campaign to take Digital India mission forward’
LUCKNOW: Deputy chief minister Dinesh Sharma on Friday flagged-off a national campaign Digi@Bharat that aims to bridge the digital divide in the country and boosts the central government’s Digital India mission.
Terming ‘Digital India’ as the key to success, Sharma said the objective of the mission was to provide a platform to innovative ideas and practical solutions that could transform the nation.
“It will also help in creating opportunities for citizens,” said Sharma.
Speaking on Digi@Bharat initiative by Logitech, the deputy chief minister said the campaign was expected to take Digital India mission to another height by empowering people.
Managing director, India, Logitech Asia Pacific, Sumanta Datta said under the campaign, the company would support technologies for telemedicine, tele-justice, tele-education and promotion of regional languages.
“We believe language should not be a barrier in the use and adoption of latest technology. Through our campaign, our objective is to promote local languages hence we have launched new MK235 wireless Devanagri keyboard combo as well as its wired version,” Sumanta said.
Sumanta said the launch would empower people to communicate in their preferred language.
