Video shows girl’s father accusing MLA’s brother of assault

LUCKNOW: Before succumbing to injuries, the father of the alleged rape survivor purportedly accused Atul Singh Sengar, brother of BJP MLA from Bangarmau Kuldeep Singh Sengar, of attacking him in the presence of the police.

A video of his statement went viral on social media after TV news channel NDTV flashed it on Wednesday.

In the video, the woman’s father is seen accusing Atul of assaulting him till he fainted.

He said several policemen were present when he was being attacked but none of them came to his rescue.

He also alleged that the BJP MLA was involved in the disappearance of his daughter in June last year.

attacked allegedly by Atul and his men. After attacking him, the MLA’s supporters also registered a case against him at Makhi police station.

For the next five days, he remained behind bars without any proper medical aid. He complained of abdominal pain late on Sunday evening and was taken to the district hospital where he died on Monday morning.

The post-mortem report had revealed that he had as many as 14 injury marks on his body and died of shock and septicaemia. Chief medical officer (CMO), Unnao, Dr SP Chaudhary had said on Tuesday that the man died of shock and septicaemia caused due to perforation in the ascending colon.
