Kathua case: SIT visits CS varsity
MEERUT : Special investigation team probing the Kathua gangrape case has collected evidences from Ch Charan Singh University to verify if the four accused arrested in the case participated in their exams on the day of incident.
An 8-year-old girl was gangraped and thereafter murdered in Kathua in J&K. The SIT probing the case arrested four youths in this connection but to prove their innocence they pleaded that they were writing their exams on January 12,15 and 17 in K K Jain College of Khatauli in Muzaffarnagar when the incident occurred in Kathua. The accused are student of B. Sc agriculture first year in a private college of Muzaffarnagar and CCS University conducts the exams.
University’s spokesperson Prashant Kumar said the officials of SIT had arrived in the

university a few days ago and enquired about exams and demanded copies and other evidences to verify presence of some students in their exams. He said that University had provided them all required material.
Dy SP Sanjeev Deshwal, who has been investigating the case of MBBS copy exchange in CCS University, said that he also came to know about visit of the SIT but they didn’t contact local cops.
The SIT also visited the Jain college in Khatauli in Muzaffarnagar.
