Collection agent ends life over harassment

LUCKNOW : Alleging harassment by his seniors, a 30-year-old sales collection agent of a private firm committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling fan of his rented room in Qaiserbagh area here on Thursday.

The victim’s body was found hanging when his family reached his room after getting no response on repeated calls over his mobile phone.

Inspector of Qaiserbagh police station DK Upadhyaya said a suicide note has been found from the room of the deceased Abhishek Gupta in crowded Risaldar Park locality.

He said the deceased had mentioned the names of three persons, Majaz, Muzammil and Rohit Gupta in his two-page suicide note and held them responsibl­e for the grave step.

He said the post-mortem examinatio­n of the body has been conducted but so far no FIR has been registered in the matter.

He said the FIR will be lodged if the family approaches the police

MEDICAL ASPIRANT ENDS LIFE

In another incident, a 22-year-old medical aspirant Mohsina Bano ended her life by hanging herself inside the bathroom of her house on the campus of Mahanagar PAC. Her father Mohammed Alam said that his daughter was under depression after not being able to qualify medical entrance examinatio­ns from the last three years.
