YOUTH RAPES AUNT IN HATHRAS
HATHRAS :: A 25-year-old youth raped his aunt and then tried to poison her in a village in Mursan area here on Monday, said police. However, she raised an alarm and though people gathered, the accused managed to escape.
The victim woman lives in the village with her husband and two children.
Her brother-in-law lives separately in the same village.
The woman’s husband works in a snack factory in Hathras.
The victim said in the FIR that her husband went to the factory and both children went to take a bath at the tubewell at around 10 in the morning.
Meanwhile, her nephew came to her house. Finding her alone, he started misbehaving with her and then raped her.
As he feared she might complain, he forcibly tried to give her pesticide but she started screaming.
By then her children also returned and seeing the accused forcibly making their mother drink pesticide, they protested.
The accused fled after kicking aside the children. The people in the neighbourhood also gathered on hearing the noise.
The victim’s family took her to a private hospital and then lodged an FIR against the accused at Mursan police station.
SHO Narendrapal Singh said that the case had been registered against the accused Yogendra and investigation was going on.
