LUCKNOW: The body of a 19-yearold youth was found hanging from a tree in a mango orchard in Sikrori village of Kakori on Monday morning.

The incident led to tension in the village with locals demanding action against the accused.

The deceased was identified as Mohammad Tayyab.

His family members and locals blocked Hardoi road demanding arrest of the accused. Cops had a tough time pacifying the agitators.

The police lodged a case against one Naseem and his brother-in-law Mukeem on the complaint of Amir-ul-Ahmad, father of the deceased, who runs a paan shop in the village.

Naseem’s daughter had gone missing from her house about a month ago.

A missing complaint was lodged at the Kakori police station on March 28 in which Naseem accused Tayyab for her disappearance. The girl is still missing.

In the past one month, Naseem and his brother-in-law Mukeem had threatened Tayyab

On Sunday also, Naseem and Mukeem threatened Tayyab at the Kakori police station.

Later in the day, they barged into Tayyab’s house and threatened family members, alleged the deceased’s kin.

“The future course of action will be decided after getting a post-mortem report of the body,” said Sanjay Pandey, inspector, Kakori police station.
