Lucknow tops in Inter result, Gzb in HS

ALLAHABAD: Ghaziabad and Lucknow have topped in UP Board’s district-wise results for high school and intermedia­te results with pass percentage of 89.60 and 91.24 respective­ly, according to the data released by the Board.

In intermedia­te, Lucknow moved up four positions as compared to last year to bag the top position while Amroha jumped 26 spots to figure on the second spot from last year’s 28th position

(91.15 per cent).

Ghaziabad secured third spot with 90.82 per cent result jumping 23 positions as compared to last year.

Ghaziabad was followed by Hapur (89.75 per cent), Saharanpur (88.94 per cent), Gautam Buddh Nagar (87.40 per cent), Chitrakoot (87.21 per cent), Baghpat (86.88 per cent), Kanpur City (86.85 per cent) and Shamli (86.80 per cent).

Allahabad slipped 56 positions to 73rd spot on the list with 56.39 per cent result as against 17th position in 2017.

In high school, Ghaziabad jumped 35 spots to bag the top spot with 89.60 per cent results while Muzaffarna­gar moved up 23 positions to bag second spot with 88.20 per cent results.

Shamli moved up 23 positions to claim the third spot on the list with 87.88 per cent results while Amroha secured fourth position with 87.78 per cent results.

Amroha was followed by Saharanpur (87.41 per cent), Kanpur Nagar (87.15 per cent), Gautam Buddh Nagar (86.20 per cent), Meerut (86.20 per cent), Moradabad (84.87 per cent) and Lucknow (83.94 per cent).

Allahabad slipped 47 positions as compared to last year and secured 55th spot this year with 72 per cent result.
