KV Lucknow win regional cricket tourney
LUCKNOW KV Lucknow Cantt defeated IIT Kanpur by 14 runs to win the KVS Under-17 Regional Cricket Tournament here on Friday.
Prashant Yadav made 23 and Deepak Mishra hit 22 as KV Lucknow made 65/6 in 10 overs while batting first after winning the toss. In reply, IIT Kanpur could make 51/7 in 10 overs.

LUCA IN QUARTERS
Lucknow Unique Cricket Academy (LUCA) stormed into the quarterfinals of the C division cricket league, notching up fourwicket win against Charminar Cricket Club, at the Pt Raas Bihari Tewari Stadium here on Friday.
Needing 190 in 40 overs, LUCA romped home in 31 overs, losing six wickets. Opener Aarav Singh struck highest 70, which came off 61 balls with the help of 10 hits to the fence. Said made 32, whereas Tushar Arora struck unbeaten 27. Zeeshan took 3/48 for CCC.
Earlier, CCC despite having a good start could make 189 in 27 overs. Sundaram Dixit made highest 37, whereas Zeeshan scored 36. Tariq took 4/22, whereas Abhishek Mishra (3/41) and Sunny (2/56) too bowled well.
In a first round match, youth Cricket Club beat A Foundation by six wickets, whereas Yorker Cricket Club crushed BBDG by 144 runs to make it to the prequarters.
THRILLING WIN
DPS, Gomti Nagar a solitary goal win against Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Saheed Path in under-14 category of the SAJS Football Champions Trophy, Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Alambagh Campus here on Friday. In under-16 section, CMS, LDA beat Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Saheed Path by 3-2, whereas Jagran Public School crushed Dabble College 6-2.
