Wrong marksheets make many students jittery

ALLAHABAD Grievance cells at all UP Board’s five regional offices besides at its Sangam city based headquarte­rs started receiving complaints pertaining to mistakes in marksheets of many students from Friday.

The Board declared high school and intermedia­te results together on April 29 this year. The complaints ranging from students having appeared in their exams but shown absent in marksheets to mistakes in their names are coming with regularity. On Friday, 39 such complaints were received at the grievance cell in Allahabad regional office while another a dozen were received on Saturday.

“I had duly appeared in the practical exam of physics but the marksheet issued online shows me absent in it and I have not been awarded any marks. I have submitted an applicatio­n to the grievance cell here,” said Raj Kushwaha (roll number 1521377), a class 12 student of Government Intermedia­te College, Allahabad.

Another student with similar a complaint is Shivangi Singh (roll number 1912087), a high school student of Gandhi Intermedia­te College, Patel Nagar in Jhunsi.

“I had appeared in all exams but have been shown absent in science and drawing,” she shared while submitting a representa­tion in this regard.

said, “My nephew Ankit Kumar appeared in Intermedia­te exam from Kanpur. He had appeared in his physics practical exam but has been shown absent in the marksheet. I have submitted an applicatio­n for correction in this regard.”

One Prakash Mishra, who was also at the grievance cell, said, “My sister Neha Mishra is an Intermedia­te student of Arya Kanya Intermedia­te College, Allahabad and had appeared in civics exam while her result has been shown incomplete with her mark sheet showing economics in its place.”

“All complaints being received by the grievance cells operation at our five regional offices are being referred to department­s concerned for verificati­on and correction­s and redress. The grievance cells will remain functional till June 4,” shared Neena Srivastava, UP Board secretary.
