AGRA: After raking up the AMU Jinnah portrait controversy, Aligarh’s BJP MP Satish Gautam was again in the news on Sunday after a video went viral wherein Gautam (on phone) is seen and heard pressuring a railway official “to ensure that Vaishali Express reaches Aligarh station within 10 minutes.”

Gautam was not available for comment despite repeated attempts to contact him on phone.

In the video, Gautam is also heard telling the official to give a clear track to the train because BJP state president Mahendra Nath Pandey was travelling to Aligarh in it.

“I want Vaishali Express at the platform within 10 minutes….. stop Rajdhani as it is not that important as state president of BJP…….do whatever necessary but get Vaishali Express at Aligarh station within 10 minutes…..” says Gautam to the railway official on mobile while waiting for Pandey.

BJP city unit president Vivek Saraswat distanced himself from incident.

“I have not come across any such video and was not present when Gautam is said to be making such comments,” stated Saraswat.

“The BJP state president was coming by Vaishali Express, which was running 6 hours late. It should have arrived at 04.12 am on Sunday but arrived at 10 am,” stated Saraswat said.
