ALLAHABAD : The Allahabad high court on Monday granted interim bail to Yadav Singh’s son Sunny Singh and daughters Garima Bhushan and Karuna Singh who are facing charges under the Prevention of Corruption Act and other sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Yadav Singh’s children allegedly used the money earned by their father using corrupt means to set up a company. Singh has already been charge sheeted in a disproportionate assets case and is presently lodged in judicial custody at Dasna jail in Ghaziabad.

While directing that the three applicants be released on bail, a division bench comprising justice Ramesh Sinha and justice DK Singh directed the special judge (anti-corruption, CBI cases), Ghaziabad, to ensure that their passports, if any, should be deposited and the applicants may not leave the country without the permission of the court.

“All the three applicants shall remain present before the high court on May 21, the next date of hearing, failing which coercive action shall be taken against them,” the court said.
