Woman raped in moving car, then thrown out with kid
MUZAFFARNAGAR: A 28-year-oldwoman was raped in a car by a man while his friend drove the vehicle, on Delhi-Haridwar highway, under Chappar police station, in Muzaffarnagar on Monday evening, police said.
The woman told police that the duo escaped after throwing her and her 3-year-old daughter from the moving car. While she was unconscious on the road, villagers took her kid to a nearby hospital, police said.
Superintendent of police (SP City) Ombeer Singh said police had started an investigation into the case. He added that they had registered an FIR under section 376 of IPC against the two persons and the woman was sent for medical examination.
Police sources said the woman was employed in a Haridwar factory but some time ago she left her job and started residing in New Mandi police station area here. She told Chhapar police an acquaintance, Ravindra Mehta, a resident of Haridwar, and one friend of his, called her at a place near Purkazi border of Muzaffarnagar district on the pretext of providing her a job. When she reached there they offered her a laced cold drink and she became unconscious.
She further told police that Mehta raped her while his friend drove the vehicle. The duo then threw her and her child on the road from the moving car and escaped. When she regained consciousness, she reached in Chhapar police station and filed a complaint against duo.
