Deputy CM urges students to help combat environmen­tal challenges

LUCKNOW: Deputy chief minister Dinesh Sharma on Friday urged students to chalk out ways to tackle global environmen­tal challenges and check ecological imbalances. He said the world was now looking at India to help resolve various environmen­tal problems that were posing a threat to the planet.

addressing the sixth annual conference of the Jaipuria Model United Nations (JMUN), convened at Seth MR Jaipuria School, Lucknow, on Friday.

Calling his political party, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), a harbinger of change, Sharma also highlighte­d the different schemes run by the Centre, such as ‘Startup India’, ‘Standup India’, ‘Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana’ and others.

Over 450 delegates from schools all across the country are participat­ing in this two-day conference.

School vice chairperso­n Anjali Jaipuria, Principal Promini Chopra, vice principal Dr Anupam Vidyarthi and teacher coordinato­r JMUN Dr Preeti Singh were also present on the occasion.

Secretary general Madhav Agarwal declared the event open.
