Fraud case: CMS lodges FIR against former principal

-

LUCKNOW :City Montessori School has lodged an FIR in a case of fraud against the former principal of its Chowk branch, Sadhna Bedi and former lab assistant of the same campus, Sheetla Sahai.

The institution registered the case at Thakurganj police station under Sections 420, 406, 467, 468 and 471 of the IPC, said police.

“The ex-principal has allegedly taken loan from people by misusing CMS letter pad. She was dismissed by the institution on June 29, 2017 on charges of fraud. Later, when lab assistant Sheetla Sahai was also found to be involved in this fraud, the management dismissed him too,” said CMS founder manager, Jagdish Gandhi.

“Bedi wrote a letter to director, CMS in June 2017, stating that she would sell her house in Gomti Nagar and repay the loan to all lenders, therefore CMS management refrained from filing FIR against her,” he added.

But the CMS management requested the DGP to probe the issue, said Gandhi. When after nearly one year neither Bedi repaid loans nor any legal action was taken against her, the school lodged FIR, he said. Gandhi claimed that in her letter to CMS management, Bedi admitted that she had misused the CMS letter pad for her personal benefit, taking money from some parents and CMS staff. Bedi said: “I have no legal liability towards anyone. Those who allege they have given money, should submit their books of accounts or statement of accounts. I am being framed and was made a scapegoat by CMS.”
