LDA Coaching Centre lose in Gold Cup

LUCKNOW : Opener Arslan Khan struck an unbeaten 105 in 88 balls with the help of 17 fours and a six as Minerva Cricket Academy crushed Lucknow’s LDA Coaching Centre by six wickets in a league match of the 36th AllIndia Uttarakhan­d Gold Cup Cricket Tournament in Dehradun on Friday.

Needing 208 in 40 overs, MCA romped home in 28.5 overs. Gaurav Puri too remained unbeaten at 65, which came off 50 balls with the help of 10 fours and a six.

Earlier, Sahim (86*) and Akash Verma (53) helped LDACC post 207 for 6 in 40 overs. Gurkeerat Maan had two for 32.

CRICKET CAMP

A cricket coaching camp for boys below 17 years begins on June 1 at the BSNV College here. The camp would conclude on June 30. Interested must report at the venue.

Opener Vishwajeet Anand struck 63-ball 93 with the help of 17 fours and a six as Cricket Promotion Group scored an emphatic 96-run win against Awadh Sky Sports Cricket Academy in CAL’s under-14 cricket league here on Friday.

In other matches of the day, LDACC ‘Red’ defeated Standard Club by nine wickets, whereas SCC Blue defeated Kalyanpur Strikers by 93 runs.
