All state government offices to go paperless
Launch of Prime Minister National Health Security Mission in Uttar Pradesh also approved
LUCKNOW: The Uttar Pradesh cabinet on Tuesday decided to launch the e-office system in all the government offices to make them paperless across the state.
Chief minister Yogi Adityanath presided over the meeting of state cabinet that also approved a proposal to launch the Prime Minister’s National Health Security Mission in Uttar Pradesh. The scheme will provide up to Rs 5 lakh insurance cover through listed government and private hospitals to about 6 crore persons of 1.18 crore families. The state cabinet decided that the families identified under the Socio Economic Caste Census 2011 will be benefitted by the scheme.
With the introduction of the e-office system across the state, all the correspondence, including with the police, transactions and bookings of guesthouses of estate department, public works department and forest guesthouses will be made online. The information technology and electronics department has been tasked with rolling out the e-office system across the state. Besides, benefits of 10 government services covered under Janhit Guarantee Act 2011 will be given to government employees. Medical leave, pension, payment of salary, GPF and earned leaves etc. will be sanctioned online. The government had earlier introduced the e-office system in 21 departments in the state secretariat. On May 7, 2018 the e-office system was extended to all the government departments in the secretariat.
BOOST TO ROOFTOP SOLAR PLANTS
The cabinet approved a policy to boost setting up of rooftop solar power generation plants in all the public/ government and semigovernment buildings. Under the national solar mission of the ministry of new and renewable energy, a target has been fixed to set up 40,000 MW capacity grid connected rooftop solar power plants. This includes a target of 4,300 MW set for rooftop power plants under the Solar Energy Policy 2017. The Renewable Energy Supply Company (RESCO) will set up the solar grid connected rooftop power plants that will supply power at Rs 3.91 unit.
INTEGRATED SCHEME FOR SCHOOL EDUCATION
The cabinet decided to implement the Integrated Scheme for School Education that includes the integration of three central schemes – education for all, national secondary education campaign and teachers’ education. The three integrated schemes will be now run as Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan (Integrated Scheme for School Education).
GRAM PRAHARIS
The cabinet decided to change the name of gram chowkidars to gram praharis. The CM had made an announcement about changing the name of the gram chowkidar’s post in January.
HOT MEALS FOR KIDS
The state cabinet decided to implement the scheme to provide hot cooked meals to children in the three to six years’ age group at the anganwadi centres.
