GANGSTERS PLACED SKIMMER IN CARD SLOT

Of late, the cyber cell has been flooded with complaints of fraudulent withdrawal of money from people’s bank accounts after cloning of the ATM cards.

The gang members placed skimmers in the card slot in ATM kiosks. Unsuspecting customers got their ATM cards cloned while withdrawing money. This modus operandi was adopted at several kiosks across the city.

Many gangs of ATM card cloners are active in Lucknow for the past few months. After cloning cards, they leave the city and start withdrawing cash from ATMs in other cities, said cyber cell sleuths.
