METRO JOYRIDE

▪ A group of 25 underprivi­leged children from Lucknow got a chance to enjoy the Metro ride between Charbagh and Transport Nagar on Wednesday.

▪ The children were made aware of the latest technologi­es used in Metro and how the system is built and operated for the benefit of public.

▪ The children also visited the workshop cum inspection bay line in the Transport Nagar Metro depot and thanked LMRC MD Kumar Keshav for providing them such an opportunit­y.

▪ Mahendra Kumar, director (rolling stock & systems) welcomed the group with their coordinato­r at the Charbagh Metro station in the morning and explained them the facilities and

uniqueness of Lucknow Metro.

▪ Earlier also, LMRC had organised a Metro ‘joy ride’ for a group of 30 underprivi­leged children who travelled from Charbagh to Krishna Nagar Metro station.

▪ During their journey, the children were gifted free books, crayons and food items on the occasion of the ‘World Book Day’ on April 23, 2018.
