‘SP WILL BE PART OF THE COALITION AGAINST BJP’

-

LUCKNOW: Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav scotched on Wednesday speculations that all was not well with the party’s equation with the BSP and the alliance with the latter may not happen ahead of the Lok Sabha polls in 2019.

Asked as to why BSP supremo Mayawati was silent on alliance while he has willing to give more seats to her, Akhilesh said, “How do you know that? This is an era of mobile and Internet. It’s not necessary for me to reveal my strategy. I will not say anything now because the season of politics will commence only after Monsoon.”

“I can tell you one thing that SP will play a crucial role in the defeat of BJP and selection of a non-BJP prime minister in 2019,” he said. Yadav also issued a warning to bureaucrats not to exceed their brief to please their political masters as political regimes come and go. “Things like taps are generally stolen by drug addicts,” he said referring to the allegation of damaging the government bungalow vacated by him.

“Who knows, if our government comes to power again, we will find out who such these drug addicts are among the bureaucracy and make them do our bidding and level similar allegations against our rivals,” he said.
