Elaborate arrangemen­ts for Eid namaz

ALL SET Officials told to ensure security, cleanlines­s LUCKNOW: With the city of nawabs all set to celebrate Eid-ul-fitr in a big way, the district administra­tion and police have made elaborate security arrangemen­ts at all prominent mosques, including Asafi Masjid, Tile Wali Masjid and Aishbagh Eidgah .

The district administra­tion also held a meeting with the other department­s, directing them to ensure proper cleanlines­s in the Old City.

District magistrate Kaushal Raj Sharma has directed the officials to make all possible arrangemen­ts to manage the gathering and to facilitate the faithful.

Shaista Amber, a social activist, said special arrangemen­ts had been made at Amber Masjid near SGPGI for both Shias and Sunnis . She said the management committee of the mosque had also made special arrangemen­ts for women to offer namaaz on Eid .
