Gang of hitech cheats busted on eve of police recruitment exam
ALLAHABAD : Police on Sunday nabbed three people and claimed to have busted a gang that was out to facilitate cheating by using hi-tech gadgets in the civil police and state armed constabulary constable recruitment examination in Allahabad. The offline examination is set to take place across the state on Monday and Tuesday.
LUCKNOW: Samajwadi Party (SP) national president Akhilesh Yadav has attacked the state government over the scheduling of the Provincial Civil Service mains exam conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC). The exam is scheduled from June 18 to July 7.
Demanding postponement of the exam, he said it was unfair that students were not getting a month to prepare since the announcement of the examination on May 23. Many candidates are demanding postponement of the exam.
“This is playing with the future of the youth. While the candidates are knocking on the doors of power that be from Lucknow to Delhi, the government here is on holiday. It is a sorry state of affairs…” Akhilesh said in a press statement after he criticised the state government on Twitter. “The candidates posted four lakh tweets, demanding postponement of the exam. Then after a delegation of candidates met the chief minister, there was a consensus on conducting the exam in July. The commission had even announced that the exam will be held in July. Despite all this, the dates were announced,” he said.
