Employee found dead on hotel premises

-

LUCKNOW: An employee of Raj International Hotel, under Manak Nagar police station, was found dead in mysterious circumstances on the hotel premises on Saturday. The deceased was identified as Indrapuri Colony resident Suresh Chand Shukla, aged around 50 years.

An FIR of murder was lodged against the hotel owner and four others by the victim’s kin.

Station officer, Manak Nagar police station, Santosh Kumar Khushwaha said that the matter was being investigated. “Any further probe in the case will be possible only after we get the post-mortem examination report,” he said.

Police said Suresh had left for his job at around 8pm on June 15. He was supposed to return home in the morning, but did not come back.

Girija Shukla, his wife, tried to contact him over phone, but the cell phone was switched off. So, she and her two sons reached the hotel on Saturday morning to check on Suresh. After the hotel staff informed them that Suresh had left for home, they went back.

At around 4pm, Girija, her sons and relatives again reached the hotel to know the whereabouts of her husband who still hadn’t made an appearance.

The kin of the deceased said some hotel staff told them that “Suresh had been murdered and his body was hidden in the hotel”. It was then that they informed the Manak Nagar police about the incident.
