MINOR GIRL GANGRAPED BY 10 YOUTHS IN BULANDSHAH­R

MEERUT : A 15 year-old girl belonging to the minority community was allegedly gangraped by 10 youths in Chacheri village of Bulandshah­r, police said on Friday. Two of the accused were arrested and a case of gang-rape under sections 363 and 376 of the IPC had been registered against them, said Subhash Singh, head constable of Jahangirab­ad police station. The arrested duo was identified as Nitish, 18 and his brother, Rohit while raids were on to nab the remaining accused. The incident took place on Monday when the girl had gone with her family members to attend the engagement ceremony of her cousin in Chacheri village, where Nitish and his brother Rohit were on contract for setting up tents.

BULANDSHAH­R: A 15 year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped by 10 youngsters in Chacheri village of Bulandshah­r, the police said on Friday.

Two of the accused have been arrested and a case of gang rape under sections 363 and 376 of the IPC had been registered against them, said Subhash Singh, head constable of the Jahangirab­ad police station.

The arrested duo was identified as Nitish, 18 and his brother, Rohit while efforts were on to nab the remaining accused, the policeman added.

The incident took place on Monday when the girl had gone with her family members to attend her cousin’s engagement ceremony in Chacheri village, where Nitish and his brother Rohit were hired to set up tents.

Around 8 pm, Nitish reportedly convinced the girl to go with him to a shrine in the neighbouri­ng village.

When they reached the village, a group of boys were already waiting and they gangraped the girl, said the police.

Her family members found her unconsciou­s in a field next morning around 5 am.

On Friday, the survivor’s brother lodged a case against the ten accused. The girl also accused them of making a video of the incident. Raees Akhtar, SP (rural), Bulandshah­r said police teams were working towards nabbing the accused.
