Addressing Congress workers at Fursatganj during his two-day visit to his parliamentary constituency Amethi, Gandhi hit out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said the BJP government at the Centre was snatching money from small and medium traders of the country and giving it to 15 industrialists who were also Modi’s marketing managers. AMETHI (FURSATGANJ): Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday termed the proposed bullet train as‘jaaduk it rain’ and said the project would never be a reality.

“It (bullet) is a ‘jaadu ki train’ which will never come to reality. If at all the project gets completed, it will be during the Congress regime,” he said.

Addressing Congress workers at Fur sat ganj during his two-day visit to his parliamentary constituency Amethi, Gandhi said ,“B JP and RSS will be removed if we fight together. It is our target.”

Gandhi also spoke on ‘Project Shakti’, a messaging platform launched for Congress workers to directly get in touch with top leadership. Hitting out at Prime Minister Na rend ra Mo di, Gandhi said the BJP government at the Centre was snatching money from small and medium traders of the country and giving it to 15 industrialists who were also Modi’s marketing managers.

“India has three challenges – unemployment, farmers’ issues and inflation. Small and medium trade generates jobs but Modiji has broken its backbone by introducing demo net is at ion and G ST. Last year, Modiji did not announce waiver of farmers’ loan but waived off Rs 2 lakh crore loan of industrialists ,” he alleged.

He alleged that the government collected money from people after demo net is at ion and G ST and gave it to Vijay Mallya and Nirav Modi who fled the country with Rs 35,000 crore.

Gandhi asked Congress workers to meet the people and ask them to think how Jai Shah, son of BJP president Amit Shah, converted Rs 50,000 into Rs 80 crore.

“Ask people what Modi has done in Rafale deal and how much money has been made by Amit Shah’s son and union minister Piyush Goel?” he said.

“India has to become superpower after America and China. How will it be possible when Modiji is bowing before China ?” Gandhi asked .“Modijiissil en ton China. Modiji sat on as wing with the Chinese president in Gujarat but stayed silent when Chinese army reached Doklam,” he said.

When you see or meet someone you meet with love in your heart and say he is Indian and you stand with him. The RSS people see people as Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Woman, Dalit, Jatav. “We work to unite they break people” said Rahul.

Later, Gandhi interacted with farmers and local residents.

He also visited the family of a farmer Abdul Sattar who died allegedly after suffering a heart attack while waiting to sell his produce at Jais grain market on May 4. “Rahulji has said the entire matter will be probed after we told him that Abdul died due to stress as his wheat was not being purchased at the centre though he went there more than once,” said Abdul’s brother M Iliyas N ad vi .“Rahulji has been meeting us. One of his workers had met us soon after my brother died. We informed Rahulji how officials ignored my brother and did not purchase wheat from him. For four days they ignored him and then it got spoiled due to rain. My brother suffered a heart attack due to shock and died,” said Nadvi. Later in the evening, Gandhi visited under construction collectorate building and also met traders of the region.

Criticising the Goods and Services Tax (GSP), he said: “GST is

benefiting industrialists. In 2019, the Congress government will introduce taxation which will benefit the common man.”

Instead of his usual stay at Munshi Ganj guest house, Gandhi decided to stay overnight in Gauriganj. “This is for the first time that a member of the Gandhi family has stayed here. All the preparations were made for Rahulji’s stay here,” said a Congress worker Ashok Tiwari. On the second day of his visit on Thursday, Rahul will hold a‘ja nata dar bar’ in Gauriganj to meet people and know their problems.
