LUCKNOW: Samajwadi Party (SP) national president Akhilesh Yadav on Saturday charged the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of transforming politics from public service into the art of management.

In a press statement, Akhilesh said the BJP is the party that has nothing to do with ethical conduct in public life and all that the party’s national president wants is to win elections, one or the other way.

“These days BJP president is busy touring UP and is hitting out at opposition unity. He neither trusts the BJP workers nor the voters, but believes only in management theories of corporate houses to win elections,” said Akhilesh.

Akhilesh added: “It is known to one and all that BJP believes

People now believe that 2019 will be a repeat of 1977 and BJP’s throne is on shaky grounds now. BJP shattered the faith that people had reposed in it. AKHILESH YADAV, SP chief

in winning elections by hook or by crook. Now, EVMs malfunctioning in every poll is a regular feature and there is a big question mark over the credibility of these machines. The other trick that BJP has in its bag is encouraging polarisation. The party is adept at reaping benefits out of communal divide that it creates.”

Akhilesh said that in four of the BJP rule at the centre and over one year in UP, the party’s governments did not benefit UP in any manner.

The two governments did not do anything worthwhile for the state. Farmers, youth, women, all are distressed. Demonetisation and GST has adversely affected the economy. Cases of molestations, rapes, and rapes with minor girls have drastically increased.

Calling his party, a party of principles, Akhilesh said that his party has programmes and policies and it tells people what all will it do for them through its manifesto.

“People now believe that 2019 will be a repeat of 1977 and BJP’s throne is on shaky grounds now. BJP shattered the faith that people had reposed in it. People believed in BJP’s promises, but the party’s governments did not keep all those promises,” Akhilesh said.
