Girl, lover and his friend held for contractor’s murder

LUCKNOW:Seeking sexual favour from his teenage relative resulted into the murder of a 38-year-old contractor whose body was found with his throat slit at a deserted ground behind a farm house on the city outskirts in Nigoha area here on Thursday morning.

Police arrested the teenager, her lover and his friend in connection with the contractor’s murder on Saturday and recovered a knife and iron road used in the crime.

Senior superintendent of police (SSP) Kalanidhi Naithani said the contractor Ganga Sagar Yadav, a resident of Sarojininagar was murdered by one Kamal Kumar and his friend Bablu Singh while Kamal’s teenage girlfriend was also part of the conspiracy for calling the victim to the deserted spot on the day of incident. He said the teenager is the contractor’s relative and the latter was troubling her for past many months.

The SSP said the contractor was allegedly blackmailing the teenager after coming to know about her love affair with Kamal and sought sexual favours from her in return of keeping it a secret. “Kamal stated that he was planning to eliminate Ganga Sagar soon after he came to know about his approach towards his relative around a month ago,” he said.

He said the girl called up Ganga Sagar to meet him near her house behind the farmhouse in Bhatpura village on Wednesday night as a part of conspiracy.

He said Kamal and his friend attacked Ganga Sagar with iron road when he reached there and slit his throat after overpowering him. He said the duo also took Ganga Sagar’s motorcycle and returned home after leaving it in Kallu Kheda at Unnao border.

Earlier, Ganga Sagar’s father Sri Krishna Yadav had lodged an FIR of murder and concealment of crime against unidentified persons with Nigoha police station on Thursday.
