BUSY DAYS FOR CHAUDHARY CHARAN SINGH AIRPORT ON JULY 28 AND 29

LUCKNOW : Arrival of more than 1,000 delegates for the ground-breaking ceremony here would be making the Chaudhary Charan Singh (CCS) Airport in Lucknow as one of the busiest in the country on July 28 and 29. And the airport administra­tion is prepared to handle the increased flight operations during this period.

“Currently, around 140 flights operate from Lucknow every day, but on July 28 and 29 the airport will have more air traffic than usual. Around 15 private jets and 12 helicopter­s are tipped to land here on these days. However, the clear position will emerge by Thursday midnight. The airport has made special arrangemen­ts to welcome the delegates,” said DK Sharma, director, Lucknow airport.

According to officials, Lucknow airport can accommodat­e 14 mid-size aircraft at a time and around 44 small aircraft at a time. But when the traffic load will increase to 60, some of the planes would have to leave the airport after dropping passengers.

SPECIAL PARKING FACILITY

Special parking would be arranged for the fleet of VVIP cars during this period.

Around 275 luxury cars including Audi, Jaguar, Mercedes and BMW are expected to be parked in the special parking area.

Besides, 100 more luxury cars and SUVs would be kept in reserve near the airport for the guests.

The airport

administra­tion has made arrangemen­ts of emergency medical care for the guests coming to participat­e in the ground breaking ceremony. A physician would be available at the airport round the clock during these days.

CLEANLINES­S AROUND AIRPORT

The Lucknow Municipal Corporatio­n has deployed three squads to clean the airport area during the summit. All these sanitation workers would be cleaning the roads and footpaths around the airport.
