This eclipse is extra special because it’s also the ‘Blood Moon’ – when the moon gets a reddish glow.

The total eclipse will last about an hour and 43 minutes with the moon in perfect alignment with the Sun and Earth.

Lunar eclipses occur when the earth is situated directly between the sun and moon, blocking sunlight from reaching the moon’s surface and casting a shadow over it.
