VARANASI: Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party chief and cabinet minister Omprakash Rajbhar on Thursday reached Rasada police station in Ballia and stood in a queue as a mark of protest against delay in response by an inspector even after a call by his personal secretary.

Rajbhar was listening to complaints by public at the central office of his party in the town. When his party workers blamed police for ignoring them, the minister instructed his personal secretary to call the inspector and summon him.

The secretary called up and asked the inspector to reach the SBSP central office . The minister waited for about an hour, but the inspector didn’t turn up. Enraged over it, the minister, attired in lower and t-shirt, reached the police station and joined a queue.

When police personnel informed inspector Gyaneshwar Mishra about the minister standing in the queue, Mishra went to the minister and informed him that he couldn’t reach as his driver was not present.

“Such lame excuses will not work,” Rajbhar told the minister and kept standing in the queue. He relented only after circle officer Awadhesh Chaudhary
