LUCKNOW: Union home minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday appealed to the investors to make maximum investments in Uttar Pradesh and said the central government would provide additional security to them, if required.

“Though law and order is a state subject, we are ready to provide additional security to you if such a need arises,” he said, addressing investors on the occasion of ground-breaking ceremony of 81 projects here.

Singh said UP had unlimited potential but there was a need to tap it and create the right environment for investment.

He lauded the Yogi Adityanath government and his team for being able to convert mere intents into actual investments worth over Rs 60,000 crore within five months. “One can say the expressway of development not only passes through Mumbai and Delhi but UP too. I have been the chief minister of UP but never imagined
