LUCKNOW :Claiming that the investment climate in Uttar Pradesh has changed, state minister for industry and infrastructure Satish Mahana on Sunday said he could arrange the meeting of any industrialist with chief minister Yogi Adityanath within 24 hours.

“I am proud to say we can fix the meeting of any investor with the chief minister within a short duration of 24 hours. Our officers are always ready to provide all possible assistance to them,” Mahana said during his welcome speech at the ground-breaking ceremony at the Indira Gandhi Pratisthan here.

He said earlier there was disconnect between the entrepreneurs and the government and the investors had to face a lot of difficulty in meeting even the junior-most officers of the industry department. “We have changed the work culture and now there is a strong bond between entrepreneurs and the government,” he said.

Mahana said the government had come up with a new industrial policy and 21 sectoral policies within a short span to create an investment-friendly atmosphere in the state and added that the government was planning to hold a bigger investor summit in future.

“By the time the next summit is held, the proposal to set up defence corridor as announced by the Prime Minister during the investors’ summit here in February this year will take a definite shape,” said state minister for industry and infrastructure.
