Fake marksheets: Selection of 32 constables cancelled

ALLAHABAD: The UP Police Recruitmen­t and Promotion Board on Sunday cancelled the selection of 32 constables in Kaushambi after their intermedia­te marksheets were found to be fake during verificati­on, a senior police officer said. The constables were selected through a police recruitmen­t examinatio­n held in 2015.

ALLAHABAD : The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitmen­t and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) on Sunday cancelled the selection of 32 constables in Kaushambi after their intermedia­te marksheets were found to be fake during verificati­on, a senior police officer said.

The constables were selected through a police recruitmen­t examinatio­n held in 2015.

UPPRPB also directed the superinten­dent of police (Kaushambi) Pradeep Gupta to initiate further steps in this connection.The SP said at least 251 youths of Kaushambi were selected in the recruitmen­t drive who then passed medical examinatio­n and were sent for training.

who claimed to have passed the examinatio­n from Madhya Pradesh Board, suspicious and carried out verificati­on.

Gupta said the verificati­on report revealed that the marksheets of 32 candidates were forged. “Verificati­on of remaining five candidates is still underway,” he added.

“UPPRPB has cancelled their recruitmen­t and an FIR will soon be lodged against them,” Gupta added. The SP has handed over the investigat­ion to a circle officer and has instructed him to take strict action against those involved in the fraud.
