DECEMBER 9, 2014:Two motorcycle-borne assailants looted ₹18 lakh cash from Yogendra Singh from outside the same Axis Bank opposite Raj Bhawan.

Singh was employed as accountant-cum-manager at the Lucknow office of Delhi-based Maroon Engineerin­g and Consultant­s Private Limited.

Yogendra was robbed as he stepped out of the bank at around 3.40 pm. He was holding the bag containing cash withdrawn from the bank in his right hand and was waiting for the company driver, Ajai Kumar Dixit. Two youths pounced on Yogendra from behind and snatched his bag as he moved towards the car parked barely 10 metres away.

After snatching the bag, the miscreants fled away on a motorcycle.

SEPTEMBER 29, 2015: Two motorcycle-borne youths snatched the gold chain of an elderly woman Asha Lata in front of Raj Bhawan when she was returning from morning walk at around 6.50am. The miscreants escaped towards Hazratganj crossing.

DECEMBER 16, 2017: Vaibhav Tewari, a 28-year-old gram pradhan, was shot dead outside Kasmanda Apartments in posh Hazratganj area.

The victim was the son of former Samajwadi Party lawmaker from Domariyaga­nj GP Tiwari. Vaibhav came down from the third floor flat to talk to some friends when four assailants arrived in an SUV and shot at him. One of the bullets hit him in the chest. Vaibhav was rushed to Lohia Hospital where he was declared dead.
