Tourists display banner at Taj, ASI clueless
AGRA:A video showing a couple of tourists holding a banner at the central tank platform on the Taj Mahal premises went viral on Sunday, throwing the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) and Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) officials in a tizzy.
The ASI officials were clueless as to when the incident took place and who made the video but informed senior officials about it.
To recall, there is a ban on any promotional activity at Taj Mahal and publicity material, including banners and logos etc, has to be left at the entrance.

Still, the matter relates to Taj Mahal, so manual security check at the entry gate would be tightened and more CISF personnel would be posted at the Central Tank
BRAJ BHUSHAN, CISF commandant
The video showed two women (one of them in a salwar kurta) near the central tank, holding a banner with something written on it.
“We are not aware about the incident and came to know about it from the video which went viral. The staff deployed near the central tank was questioned but nothing concrete has been found,” said Ankit Namdev, conservation assistant, Archaeological Survey of India, at Taj.
“We are still investigating the matter but have apprised the higher authorities about the video,” he said.
When contacted, CISF commandant Braj Bhushan said it was not certain if the video was of Sunday.
“Still, the matter relates to Taj Mahal, so manual security check at the entry gate would be tightened and more CISF personnel would be posted at the Central Tank,” he said.
